Extend Grace

As I get older, I have discovered that I don't multi-task quite as well as I once did. Because of this, the last few years I have asked God to give me a short phrase as I look ahead to a new year. In 2015, He gave me, "Embrace the Place." This was interesting to me because of the fact that He changed our focus midstream; yet, I am convinced that He knew I needed this phrase. No matter what happened last year, I needed to adapt and focus on the place at that very moment. The year was full of different situations and circumstances. I needed to hear that phrase over and over as each one occurred. This coming year for 2016, He has given me the words "Extend Grace." I do not fully know what He intends with this phrase yet. But one thing I am fully convinced of. No matter who I encounter or what circumstance He brings my way, I need to focus on this one thing more than anything else. May He show me clearly just how He wants me to extend grace to others, whether it is our new home or out in the community as I go to and fro. And may I glorify Him as I do indeed extend "His" grace!!!

  1. Thank you for sharing a link to your blog in our email correspondance. I am very happy to have read these words. "Extend Grace" seems like an excellent mantra for this year. -Tiffany Joy

  2. Hi. I think someone has stolen your profile and is using it to extort money from people looking for apartments in Brooklyn. There's a Craigslist ad for an apartment in the Greenpoint neighborhood which, if followed, leads to a very sketchy demand for money to be sent to Nigeria via Western Union in order to get the keys to see the apartment. I don't know what you need to do; but reporting the issue and changing all your passwords seems like a good start. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Blessings.

  4. Hi, I've received similar e-mail correspondence from someone posing as you. They are supposedly attempting to rent an apartment in Queens and have listed your blog as proof of their identity. Sorry to leave a comment like this. You seem like a good man of God. I pray God blesses you, and your family, as you do His will.

  9. Greetings - just was pitched for a Bronx apartment by the scammer - using this email address Bob Peterson . The scammer has no shame. Perhaps you should do a blog announcing this in case people do a search. It's terrible that they are using your name :(

  11. I REPEAT: We are not renting any apartments or any kind of buildings for that matter or collecting money for such things. PLEASE, PLEASE REPORT THIS TO THE AUTHORITIES IN YOUR AREA!!! Contact Craigslist and make a complaint as well. Enter a written complaint to the office of the Attorney General in your area. All of the email addresses above are NOT ours! This is NOT us!!!
